About Christina Verdugo

Christina, the founder, has a 12+ year background in Occupational Therapy. Over the years, she developed a passion for understanding the connection between mind, body, and spirit, working in synergy to heal. Her journey began when she broke her ankle at a young age. The pain, loss of independence, and time it took to heal made her understand the importance of her commitment to recovery. Discovering the mental and emotional connection through this process helped Christina understand that it’s more than just the injury, the “whole person” must heal.

Throughout her career, she’s treated people of all ages (pediatric-> geriatric) with various physical dysfunction, neurological and mental conditions and disorders, and ailments/illnesses from all socioeconomic and psychosocial backgrounds. She practices a variety of modalities and strategies to enhance recovery. She utilizes “therapeutic use of self” to connect, build trust, and collaborate with her patients/clients for optimal health.

She also understands how beneficial the human touch is to recovery. One touch, stroke, or intentional sweep of the hand can completely calm the nervous system, allowing deeper healing to begin.

About Sunflower Synergy Massage

Sunflower Synergy Massage specializes in therapeutic massage, treating the “whole person.” We believe that where you place your attention is where you place your energy, so mind, body, and spirit must align and work together to heal.

Our Clinical Assessment

We start with a clinical assessment, where we evaluate body mechanics, activity analysis, and patient concerns. TOGETHER (client and therapist) we engage to determine goals, discuss expectations, and optimal treatment approach. Every client receives individualized treatment, therefore, no massage is ever the same. Each session is tailored to the client’s unique needs and goals. We believe that integrating massage, rehabilitation, and client engagement promotes lasting healing effects. Therefore, we educate on ways to make simple adjustments to daily activities that reinforce and maximize the therapy. Our mission is to restore your function, wellness, and quality of life.
